  • Today my windows 10 home system, has installed other windows updates, I thought that these updates would fix the problem that I had with the previous ones, in my situation I use traktor kontrol s4 mk2 with the new traktor 3.1. But it still does not work, what I do is remove the update and the Traktor works perfectly.

Hello, I have recently reinstalled Windows 10 on my PC and upgraded from Traktor 2 to Traktor Pro 3, but despite installing all Windows updates, having the drivers correctly installed and Windows recognizing the Traktor Kontrol S2 hardware as a sound card, the Traktor Pro 3 does not recognize the controller.

  • On Audio Setup, select “ASIO4ALL” for audio device. How to delete garageband songs on mac. Then, on Output Routing, select “Internal” for mixing mode, on Out Master select 1: Front Left, then 2: Front Right. Output Monitor should be 3: Back Left, then 4: Back Right.

So I’ve checked your controller the Hercules E2, and learned that it doesn’t have a built-in soundcard. And, the computer that you are connecting to is using a Digital-Out interface, which means your ordinary 3.5mm will not work with it. You will need a S/PDIF is a digital audio interconnect to RCA cable to be able to connect it to an external mixer or speakers.

Try using Conexant 20561 smartaudio ( (Wassapi) (Shared mode)) as your audio setup and use “internal” in your output routing select “anything” that is available on your drop down list and see if any sound is produced in your computer.

If it still doesn’t work, then your computer’s soundcard doesn’t support external audio routing, you may need to buy a DJ soundcard like one of these: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/11/6-budget-dj-sound-cards/

3D 5.1 soundcards will work as long as you have two separate outputs. But, if you want to connect it to high-powered mixers and speakers, then I recommend buying a DJ soundcard from numark or native instruments. That way there would be no distortion if you pump up the volume.

  • Hi Anna

I’ve been using Traktor & Windows 10 for a good 5 months now and had no issues what so ever. I’m even testing the new Beta version that will be released soon on my windows 10 machine and still no issues.

I have had the same issue as you but that was because i was mucking about with various settings. I just reloaded my saved .tsi setting and everything worked again.

What are you using to control the software A controller or just the PC?

You can start the “setup wizard” again see if that helps which can be found left bottom in preferences. This normally gives you a fresh start.

You shouldn’t need to go back a version as its been fully tested on W10 before its released to the public.

Hope it helps if not I’ll have a think as what to help with next.

    Dave

    Hi Anna

I use a Kontrol S4mk II so we should be able to see the same things. Dont panic their is a few more things to try before a new install. So before you go and start again try these.

Where you see the clock at the top, just to your left do you get any feedback from the “CTRL” indicator when you move any of the buttons/knobs on your S2? It will light up when you move somin.

Jan 18, 2017  Ctrl+c will copy from PC and to paste on Mac you will use Windows button+V. Ctrl+x on PC to cut will be Windows button+x on Mac. So essentially, the Windows button replaces the Ctrl button when connecting from PC to Mac. When connecting from Mac to PC the key commands are as follows: 1. Control +c to copy and Command+p to paste on PC 2. Teamview mac forward command key. Jan 25, 2018  To send special key entries to the remote computer during a session, access the tool bar located at the top of the screen. Select “Actions”tab and under the “Remote Interaction” section, you should be able to check the box for “Send key combinations”.

Import the .tsi you get from NI for your S2 (not your saved one) that should have the basic settings to get the S2 up and running. Make sure its in external mode in the “output Routing” in preferences as your using the S2 to kontrol the software. Also make sure you have selected the NI Kontroler S2 in the “Audio setup” in the preferences box.

The link below is an image of the preferences box, copy the link into your browser and it will take you to Dropbox. You dont have to sign up to it you can view the image on the screen. Its an image of the preferences box with a red arrow next to the “setup wizard” This is what you press to start again. Dont do this yet tho as we have a few things to try.

You could reinstall Traktor but if it happens again you’ll be back to square 1 and not know what the issue was.

    Dave.
